Why Word Journey?

WJP is here for you.

I am a small, independent, woman-owned company. I am passionate about publishing and helping others. When you work with WJP, you’ll get one-on-one from beginning to end.

You’ll get my expertise, and I’ll personally handle your manuscript. So, you’ll never deal with someone putting you on hold or sending you to someone else, only me. I think it’s much better to have that one person who knows what’s going on with your work every minute; it’s in my hands, and I will because that’s my job.

My Passion

Writing is an influential strength for me and the energy that keeps me going and fills me with meaning, pleasure, enthusiasm, and anticipation.

Writing is my passion. Within the words of my journey, I can accomplish anything I set my mind to achieve. Within my adventures in words, I can and will experience work and life in the most imaginable scope.

Writing is my ultimate passion.

What to Expect

The process is usually straightforward; occasionally, I hit a snag, but nothing that can’t be worked out. I will continually update you so you know what stage your book is in, and you ALWAYS have the final say. It’s YOUR book, and YOU are the boss.

I’ll offer my two cents worth, but this is your baby. You always have the last word.

Your Success

I am dedicated to your success. I will be with you every step of the way, helping you strive for excellence. It will be hard work and sometimes long hours, but I’ll guide you so you’re not working hard down the wrong path. Your success is my success, so let’s get started.

I DO NOT pre-read MS!

What WJP is Accepting

We love mystery, thrillers, horror, romance, poetry, cookbooks, family projects, children’s pictures, chapters, whole novels, novellas, memoirs, coloring, and short stories.

WJP will not work with Satanic novels, books, or anything to do with this!

WJP Logo?

Yes, I can offer to add my logo to your book (why add a publisher logo). Many bookstores are likelier to sell your books with a publisher’s logo. I am NOT saying you need one. I am offering my logo with the purchase of a complete layout and book cover design if you’d like it.

Very Important

Please understand that our reputations are at stake here, mine as a publisher and yours as an Author. Both are of the utmost importance in this business agreement and after.

First, WJP needs to evaluate the work. Second, editing is a MUST! There is no discussion here. This is a MUST! Moreover, editing with a professional, not your sister, who received A’s in English, or your brother-in-law because he’s good at spelling. And don’t use a good friend because she’ll do it for free and knows how to speak well. For goodness sake, this will be, in many cases, the most significant expense and the best investment you can make for your book and peace of mind. Editing is the most crucial to your reputation and the life of your book. Edit the book professionally!

WJP will not publish ill-edited books. This is our reputation, too!

Think about this scenario: You are at a bookstore picking out a book to purchase, you open it, start reading, and begin to see mistakes in spelling, grammar, and punctuation; the flow is off; what do you do? You picked it up because the cover was excellent, and the title sounded interesting, right? Right. But now, after a quick review, you are not willing to pay the price (No matter how big or small) due to, honestly, a crappy written and published book, so what do you do? You put it back on the shelf, and it collects dust.
